Proposed Relics
These are relics which have been proposed by various people in various lands, and generally have not received a great deal of playtesting. They are listed here so that people can test them and/or comment back to their originators. I thought about listing the e-mail addresses of the authors here, but decided against it (unless any of them contact me and tell me they want it on here). In lieu of that, pass on any comments on them to me and I'll pass them on to their authors.
Name: Cloak of Shadows
- Type: Garb
- By: Kendeth of Goldenvale
- Useable 2/life "May the shadows conceal me" x2
- Person becomes invisible and may not be harmed for 300 count
- If wearer is a druid then it additionally bestows one bless-type-protect.
Name: Sphere of Hope
- Type: Item
- By: Kendeth of Goldenvale
- Bestows unlimited heals and teleport 1/life. [ed note - I am assuming as per the respective spells which must be spoken]
- Only usable by Healers, Druids, Bards, Barbarians, and Samurai.

Name: Phoenix Blade
- Type: Weapon
- By: Kendeth of Goldenvale.
- Is Indestructible.
- Kills on any hit (as per Enchant Weapon).
- Does two points of damage to armor (as per Bladesharp).
- May only be used by Warriors.
Name: Golem Blade
- Type: Weapon
- By: Razatti Oloth of Iron Keep (VSR).
- A short sword, of Greek Design, made of stone.
- Three times per life, the bearer can say "Subdue to stone" preceding a hit,
and the person being hit is petrified as per the Druid spell, and only
invulnerability protects the victim from it's effects, and it effects all
classes, except some monstor classes with obvious protection from petrify
(Stone trolls, corrosion beasts, and the like).
- The bearer of the blade recieves immunity from iceballs and petrify balls,
and can, two times per game, hit himself with the sword to become petrified
for a 300 count of witch nothing can dispel (a form of protection) OR once
per game, hit himself and gain the effects of a petrify, but still being
mobile.
- Will be destroyed if a Stone to Flesh spell is cast directly upon it.
- May only be used by non-magic classes (i.e., not Bard, Druid, Healer or Wizard).
Name: Lens of Reality
- Type: handheld item
- By: Roger Shrubstaff
- When this monacle is held over one eye, and the other is squinted shut, the bearer can perceive
- many things for what they really are. To utilize this the monacle must constantly be held over one eye
(it should be not be constructed of an easily breakable material). The viewer may attack or defend with their
other hand.
Specifically, the viewer may:
- Recognize enemy sanctuaried Monks for what they are and attack them.
- Realize that a circle of protection is shielding people in a nearby dimension, and see them.
- See any monsters or creatures using invisibility, hide in shadows, or otherwise similar ability...
- Follow the path of a druid passing without trace.
- Recognize an enemy communing Druid for what they are and attack them.
- Are otherwise immune to any "illusion" effects as may be determined by a reeve.
